Rui "Roy" Cunha is the broker and founder of Royal Star Corp, a real estate brokerage in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He has worked in South Florida real estate since 2003, first in mortgage lending, then in sales, and later in construction. When you work with Rui, you work with one person who understands how a home gets financed, built, bought and sold.
From mortgages to brokerage
Rui started in 2003 as a mortgage broker, and in 2005 he founded his own mortgage brokerage, Capax Corp. He earned his Florida real estate license in 2006. In 2010 he became a licensed broker and opened Royal Star Corp, where he is still the broker in charge. In 2018 he also became a licensed General Contractor, operating as Capax Construction.
Before real estate, Rui was an executive at American Express in Brazil and in the United States, working in technology and marketing (CRM). He holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and in Marketing.
